Sancharitha Jayathilake

Chief Executive Officer  – Geometry Global Sri Lanka

Sancharitha started his career just after school as a Junior Executive at TNL, a reputed media station in Sri Lanka. He was responsible for ad sales and acquiring new clients. Thereafter, he joined Jay Kay Marketing Services,  a member of  the ‘John Keells’ the most powerful blue chip conglomerate in Sri Lanka.

He gained first-hand experience in managing a retail brands & category management. He then joined Lanka Orix Leasing Company, a financial institution with many brands that comprises the organisations savings and lending portfolios. He was a key member in the re-launching process of the business where the company was re-positioned as a financial services group, from being merely a leasing company. This is where he had his first interaction with Ogilvy as a client.

Before joining Ogilvy Action in 2008 as Head of Activations, he worked closely with the agency on many successful activations. The excitement and positive dynamic within the field of activation was his lure to be a part of the action at Ogilvy.

He left Ogilvy action in 2010 and joined ‘Sri Lanka Telecom’, the national telecommunication provider of Sri Lanka. He was heading both Marketing and sales for ‘PEO TV’, the IPTV products for the group. He was behind many successful marketing and sales initiatives that resulted in more than 40% year on year growth for the brand.

His core strength is that he has gained experience across many industries and has worked both as a client and as an agency person. He also holds a postgraduate Diploma from CIM UK.

In his new roles as Chief Operating Officer he looks forward to the opportunity of working with some of the leading brands in Sri Lanka and being at the forefront of creativity and innovation in the sector. He believes in teamwork and dedication in everything he does. For him, being a part of a team brings about better results than when you merely lead it.

As the new COO of Geometry Global he is responsible for brand management, consumer and shopper activations and working both in office and on the field to keep a watchful eye on every part of an operation.

Away from work, he loves to spend time with his family and explore the world.
